The AstralPool In-Floor Pool Cleaning and Circulation System consists
of a series of pop-up nozzles installed in the floor of the pool,
combined with one or more Distributor
Valves that carry pressurized
water toward each nozzle branch in a sequential manner.
When water starts to
flow toward the nozzle
from the distributor valve, the nozzle is raised and a pressurized
water jet exits the nozzle, parallel to the pool floor, moving dirt
and debris.
When the distributor valve
progresses and starts sending water to another nozzle branch, the
raised nozzle drops back into its original position. Several tracks
inside the nozzle ensure that it rotates slightly everytime the
nozzle is raised or lowered. This ensures that the jet of water
continually moves and cleans another area of the pool floor.
Once the distributor valve
has performed a full cycle of six changes, it returns to the original
nozzle branch, lifting the nozzles and restarting the cleaning cycle.
Debris that is continually
agitated by the action of the nozzles is moved toward the deep end
of the pool for removal by the innovative X-Port
Main Drain System. Debris
is also kept in suspension for removal by the skimmer box. Debris
removed via the main drain is then captured by the Astral
Leaf Canister.
